Webinar for developers: Eclipse Che on the 1&1 Cloud platform
When 1&1 started collaborating with partner Bitnami in February, the mutual goal was to make a wide range of popular cloud apps accessible to 1&1 customers using the powerful 1&1 Cloud Server infrastructure in their development environments. More than 100 Open Source Apps are available as one-click installations in the 1&1 Cloud App Center and can be set up quickly and easily. Now 1&1 and Bitnami are continuing their partnership by inviting customers to a webinar focusing on Eclipse Che on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 7:00 am (PT).
In short, 1&1 will demonstrate how to set up and configure the Eclipse Che app offered through Bitnami, using the 1&1 Cloud Server platform in the webinar. Eclipse Che combines the features of a developer workspace server and a cloud development environment. As a new type of workspace, the app includes projects as well as their runtime environments. Users can then share projects with multiple versions and can be more flexible because of the solution’s portability. Eclipse Che leverages cutting-edge container technology allowing workspaces to run in isolated Docker containers. In addition, Eclipse Che’s plugin framework makes it possible to program extensions.
Within the approximately 45 minute long webinar, participants will learn the general benefits of Bitnami applications with Eclipse Che as an example. In addition, 1&1 expert David Endres explains what to consider when installing and deploying Eclipse Che based on the 1&1 Cloud infrastructure and which options can be used to configure the app. During the webinar, participants can ask questions via live chat and share their experiences with other participants.
