How to Generate a QR code and Attract New Business

How to create one

One of the biggest reasons for using QR codes in your business is that they’re quick, easy and cheap to produce – you can add them to your own 1&1 MyWebsite for free using a free 1&1 Web App: GoQR.Me (look under Contacts & Communication). Drag the widget on to your site, then choose the type of content you wish the QR code to point to: options are a Web address, vcard (digital business card) or location-based code using Google Maps.

For even more options – including the ability to print and email QR codes, you can also generate them online through websites such as QRStuff via a simple four-step process. No less than 23 different types of QR code can be generated – the simplest one is a Website URL where you provide a web link that people are directed to on their mobile when they scan the code in.
