Every now and then in the Online Success Center we focus on an element of a Web hosting package, using 1&1 as an example. Today’s issue will focus on the 1&1 Website Builder, as well as a few of the most popular Click and Build apps available in a 1&1 Web hosting package (Linux only). Customers have the ability to install 1&1 Click and Build apps from their Web Hosting control panel. Other hosting companies may offer something similar, but we will use 1&1 as an example.

More simply, WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it. WordPresss can also be used as a simple content management system (CMS) for your website. It is one of the most popular web blogging applications, and can easily benefit any business.
Joomla is a powerful open source content management system. It is used for managing content and images on websites. Joomla is easy to install with one click, simple to manage, and reliable. Anybody with basic word processing skills can easily learn to manage a Joomla site.
